FLY Riders Start AMA Motocross Series Strong

San Bernardino, California, May 25, 2008 – The AMA Motocross series made its first stop this past weekend in San Bernardino, California at the world famous Glen Helen Motocross circuit. Two days of rain prior to the event had everyone thinking it was going to be a mud race, but the strong California winds made the track almost perfect.

Fly Racing Motocross Class team rider Andrew Short mixed a strong first moto finish with a little bad luck in the second moto for 13th overall. Shorty raced to fifth in moto 1, while a bent shift lever held him back in moto 2 for 13th overall.

In the Lites class Jason Lawrence grabbed the first moto holeshot and rode away to his first outdoor national moto win. A fifth in moto 2 garnered him a spot on the podium with 3rd overall for the day. Fly team rider Matt Lemoine also put in a strong performance to finish seventh overall.
