Corona, CA - March 19, 2012 - Just
four days
after battling to the final lap in Florida, Jason Thomas and Glenn
Kearney mounted up for round two of the Grand National Cross Country
(GNCC) series. Riding with the same intensity as they had done at round
one, the Husqvarna duo matched
each other lap for lap at the front of the pack all day long, and ended
the day on the podium once again.

Riding
identical TC250s, Thomas and Kearney got out to a clean start in the
XC2 class, and Thomas physically led through the pits at the end of lap
one. "I
worked on my bike setup, and it was awesome today!" Thomas explained.
"It was great to fight for the win, I just came up a little short today.
[Steward Baylor] and I traded the lead so many times it was hard to
keep track of
where you were. He would pass me into one section, then I would get him
back in the next, and then before I knew it we would be trading once
again."

Not
to be outdone, Kearney was out to score his second podium of the week.
"It was really a great day to ride." Kearney said. "The rain had really
worked its way through the course, and there was virtually no dust all
day."

Unfortunately for Kearney he found himself digging his bike out of a mud
hole for a second race in a row. "I really only made one mistake
today," the Aussie explained. "I followed Jason and Stew [Baylor] into a
big mud hole,
and as they entered, mud was flying everywhere. I tried to go to the
right to avoid it, but it just didn't work. I got stuck, and they did
not." Fortunately a near three-minute gap on fourth place meant that he
could go on to finish
the race in a strong third place.

the final stretch.

Thomas
fought for the lead through the last two miles of the event where a
lapped rider would be the deciding factor on a second-place finish. "I
am happy
with how the boys finished today," Fred Andrews explained. "We really
came out here and made a statement. I'm looking forward to watching this
team progress throughout the season, and I know that we are going to
win one of these
events very soon."

The FAR Husqvarna team will be back in action on Sunday, April 1 in
Morganton, North Carolina where Andrew DeLong will hopefully return to
racing and continue to keep FAR Husqvarna atop the XC2 podium.
