EKS BRAND goggle weekend update

EKS BRAND racers are having an incredible year! This weekend was another very successful outing for the team!

Maxxis British Motocross Championship Canada Heights - Kent, England.

MX-1 Kevin Strijbos 4th, Mark De Reuver 6th.

So strong is the competition in the MX1 class that HM Plant KTM UK teamster, Kevin Strijbos
had a slight off day which was enough to keep him off the podium at the
end of the day, but he still heads back to the Low Countries and the
first GP of the year next weekend with the red plate after recording
finishes of 9-2-2. It was tight at the top with just two points
separating the top four riders at the end of a hard days racing. A DNF in the second moto ended all hopes of EKS BRAND goggle racer Mark De Reuver to reach the podium. Mark showed his speed in the first moto by coming from behind to take the win.

MX-2 Elliot Banks Brown 1st.

In front of a large crowd, the
competition to stand on the podium at the second round of the series,
held in bright sunshine at Canada Heights yesterday was so strong that
nearly all new faces appeared compared to the opening round three weeks
ago. With heavy favorite, EKS BRAND racer Zach Osborne already back home
in the States after a mid week practice crash, the battle was set with
the remaining competitors.  After struggling in the opening moto after an early crash and finishing fifth, EKS BRANDS Elliott Banks Browne came strong in the final two motos to record two wins to take the top step at the end of the day. It was a great victory for a very fast kid!

WORCS series round 4, Lake Havasu AZ.

PRO Bobby Garrison 5th, Gary Sutherlin 8th.

Heavy winds and very hot conditions payed havoc on the competitors in the 4th round of the WORCS off road championships. EKS BRAND racer Bobby Garrison rode at the front of the pack both races but could only manage a 5th place overall finish at the end. Bobby still sits in 4th for the overall championship.

PRO 2 Cory Grafunder 1st, Ivan Ramirez 2nd.

Corey Graffunder put Husky on the top of the Pro 2 podium for the first time this season with a come from behind ride to take the win. Graffunder
had to battle his way past defending Pro 2 Champion Justin Seeds and
point’s leader Ivan Ramirez to earn the win."I'm happy to put the Husy on the top of the podium again," said Graffunder. "Havasu is one of my favorite races in the WORCS Series, and I'm working hard to win more races this season and hopefully the WORCs Championship."

Ramirez still leads the Pro 2 Class with 94/2 wins, ahead of Graffunder with 87/1 win,

PRO 2 Lights, Brandon Leith 1st. Ryan Sandoval 2nd.

EKS BRANDS Brandon Leith (838) made the trip down from Eagle Mountain, Utah to take another win in the Pro 2 Lights class. Leith set the fastest lap time of all the Pro 2 Lites with a blistering 6:13 aboard his Kawasaki. Ryan Sandoval finished second.

Can-Am GNCC Championship Steele Creek - Morganton, NC

XC-2 Brad Baaken 3rd, Jedidiah Haines 4th, Jason Thomas 6th, Andrew Delong 8th.

Sportsman, Jason Raines 1st.

Obermeyer Yamaha/Raines Riding University/Offroadviking.com's Brad Bakken and Jedediah Haines put in a solid 3-4 finish for the team, in addition to a couple personal best finishes for the season. After putting their Husqvarna's on the podium last week, both Jason Thomas and Andrew Delong had to settle for 6th and 8th respectfully!.

One
of the day's biggest classes came from the Sportsman A class, which is
a non-points paying class but offers some of the most intense racing in
the morning. Six-time AMA Hare Scramble champion, EKS BRANDS, Jason Raines (YAM) finished out front once again. He easily dominated the competition and brought home another win!.

Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship Reliant Stadium - Houston, Texas

Kyle Chisolm 11th.

After finishing a solid 5th in his heat race, EKS BRANDS Kyle Chisolm had issues coming out of the gate in the main event. He battled his way up through the pack but could only muster an 11th at the end of the 20 laps.

Kyle currently sits 12th in the overall point standings.

Congratulations to all the EKS BRAND racers!
