Rockstar/Makita Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey clinched his first AMA Supercross Lites Championship Saturday night after riding a smart race at Salt Lake City’s Rice-Eccles Stadium. Dungey mastered the track and rode his ONE Industries backed Suzuki to a fourth place finish in the main event to secure enough points to bring home the title.
Mark Valcore, Ryan’s mechanic, bolted the freshly printed #1 plate to the factory RMZ250 after Saturday night’s race as the team celebrated Dungey’s victory. The title marks the ninth time that ONE Industries has had the opportunity to print a #1 plate over the past ten years of sponsoring the Factory Suzuki team. Ryan joins in the success of the team with past champions Greg Albertyn, Travis Pastrana, Branden Jesseman, and of course the G.O.A.T. himself, Ricky Carmichael.
Congratulations to Ryan and the entire Rockstar/Makita Suzuki team!
