Dubya Congratulates Ryan Hughes on Vet Nationals Win‏

Orange Calif. - November 6, 2012 -Dubya sponsored rider Ryan “Ryno” Hughes has claimed his third consecutive 30+ class overall victory at the 2012 MTA World Vet Championships at Glen Helen Raceway aboard his Talon/Excel and Galfer equipped RM-Z450. This year’s championships brought top vet riders from all across the country, but all eyes were on the heated battle between Hughes and Southern California native Travis Preston as they fought for the 30+ Pro title.

The battle came to a head during moto 2 in the sand section of Glen Helen’s national track. Hughes was in the lead, with Preston following closely behind as they entered the sand section. Preston attempted to make the pass for the lead, but the aggressive maneuver caused the two to make contact, which threw both riders to the sand. Hughes managed to recover first, and sped off to take the moto win and the overall victory.
