Grounds Pass Tickets Only $15 for Adults, $5 for Kids
Burr Ridge, Ill. – September 15, 2009 – The Dew Tour, the world’s premier season-long action sports tour, begins the fourth stop of the 2009 season on Thursday, September 17 at EnergySolutions Arena. The Dew Tour comes to Salt Lake City for the third consecutive year for the Toyota Challenge. The five-city tour kicked off in Chicago in June, continued on to Boston in July, Portland in August and will conclude in Orlando in October.
The Toyota Challenge will include competitions in BMX (park, vert and dirt) and skateboard (park and vert), along with a freestyle motocross jam session. Breakout Hip-Hop artist, Asher Roth, will headline the Verizon Wireless music stage on Friday, September 18th following the competitions. There will also be a daily Festival Village featuring interactive booths, athlete autograph signings, free product giveaways and much more.
The athlete roster includes the who’s who in action sports, highlighted by skateboard superstars Paul Rodriguez and Chaz Ortiz, BMX veterans Dave Mirra and Jamie Bestwick and freestyle motocross daredevils Robbie Maddison and Nate Adams.
Taking place in conjunction with the Toyota Challenge is the Dew Tour’s official amateur series, the Gatorade Free Flow Tour (GFFT). Over 70 of the country’s best amateur skateboarders and BMX riders will be in Salt Lake City vying for a chance to compete against the pros in Orlando .

In its fifth year, the Dew Tour is the most watched and attended action sports property in the world. Attendance for the 2008 Dew Tour totaled nearly 275,000 and an average of 49 million viewers tuned in via NBC , USA , MTV and MTV2. The top athletes in the world will take part in this year’s Tour, all competing for the highly coveted Dew Cup that will be awarded in Orlando at season’s end.
