San Francisco, CA - AMA Supercross rolled up the coast of
California during the week to a rain free San Francisco and did battle before
41,872 fans at the AT&T Park. DNA Shred Stix/Star Racing/Yamaha featuring
#20 Broc Tickle and #48 Max Anstie we're both feeling fresh, and in Timed
Qualifying it showed when Tickle went out and nailed down the  3rd fastest time, and following
closely behind was Anstie netting 9th.

Heat #2 had both Yamaha pilots lined up on the gate, Anstie
managed to get a great start seeing him hold down 2nd position
coming around the awkward first turn. Sitting upfront for Anstie was short
lasted, as he got bumped off the track and was forced rejoin the race in the
last position. Tickle got pinched off coming into turn one, setting the scene
for both teammates to race their way through the field. Knowing the pressure
was on to qualify directly into the main event, Anstie and Tickle battled hard,
and avoided making mistakes. In doing so, they were able to bounce back to a
respectable 6th and 7th place finish.

The Main Event headed out for a grueling fifteen laps, and
Tickle successfully got the start he needed to contend for the podium.
Unfortunately Anstie once again was punted off the track in turn one, but the
determined sixteen year old was far from throwing in the towel as he held down
14th.  Upfront and
locking down 3rd place, Tickle kept putting in consistent laps and
virtually was untouchable, while Anstie made his way to 10th on lap
eight.  But this night would be highlighted
by Tickle, who solidified his potential by racing a clean 15 laps right in tow
with the leaders, allowing him to obtain his second career podium.  Anstie would go on to fight his way
further through the pack, and at the checkers he would take home 8th for the
night.

“It was a strong night for the entire Star team, and its
sponsors who we can’t thank enough. It was awesome to have Broc do well,
knowing all the hard work he has put in, and we look to continue with this
success at the next few rounds in San Diego and Anaheim before transitioning to
the east coast where the team is hopeful of strong performances there to”
commented team owner Bobby Regan after the race.
