DNA Shred Stix/Star Racing/Yamaha - Millville

Millville, MN - After a one weekend
break the DNA Shred Stix/Star Racing/Yamaha team was set to get back
into the swing of things at the top level. Made up of #20 Broc Tickle,
#48 Max Anstie, #341 Nico Izzi, #577 Martin Davalos, and the WMX star
#2 Jessica Patterson. All five riders returned to action for the
seventh round of the AMA MX National Series at the Spring Creek
Motocross Park.

First up was Tickle, who had another strong performance which was much
needed. Tickle set himself up in moto one by grabbing a 14th place
start, leaving him with plenty of hard work ahead of him. From there,
he rode aggressively in the early laps taking him up to 7th. Tickle
stayed strong well into the race, closing in on the top five riders,
but he came up a little short which lead to his eventual finishing spot
of 7th. Another start of 14th in moto two, Tickle stayed persistent
climbing to 6th by late in the race. Giving the FMF backed rider a
stellar overall score of 7th.

Next in line, Davalos had really strong rides going in both motos. In
moto one, Davalos had a super impressive go of things where he stated
1st with getting the holeshot, but then crashed on the closing end of
lap one. Remounting in last, Davalos got going and charged until the
end where came away in 15th. Moto two saw him hold down 9th, through
the third lap only to once again take a soil sample. Davalos regrouped
like he did in the previous race and forged his way back up to 12th.

Also having one good moto, one bad moto on the weekend was Izzi and
Anstie. Izzi made his presence known by showing flashes of real speed,
and held down 8th for most of moto one before settling for 10th. Anstie
started his first moto with an early fall, seeing him complete lap one
in 36th. Feeling good Anstie pushed hard and sat inside the top twenty
by mid moto. Unfortunately, another crash for Anstie would follow, and
lead to him finishing in 31st. Moto two started pretty solid for Izzi,
upfront and taking the holeshot, the 20 year old hung tough and stayed
upfront briefly. As the moto progressed, Izzi could not come to terms
with his body and the track, which led to him slipping very far back.
Unfortunately Anstie started deep in the field, raced his way into the
top twenty, and then moved even farther to 13th at the races end. His
effort earned him the "Hard Charger Award" on the day and brought some
good press.

Results:

Moto 1 Moto 2 = Overall Finish

Broc Tickle 7th 6th = 7th

Martin Davalos 15th 12th = 13th

Nico Izzi 10th 38th = 15th

Max Anstie 31st 13th = 17th

Also adding to the great race results, was Jessica Patterson our WMX
pilot who put two steady motos together going 1-2 for 1st overall.
