DNA Energy Drink/BTO Sports.com/BBMX Hot-lanta Race Report

Atlanta, Georgia - The AMA Supercross tour moved eastward to the beautiful city of Atlanta and the DNA Energy Drink/BTO Sports.com/BBMX racing team had some good luck, some bad luck and some stuff happen that didn’t affect them in the least that we won’t talk about.

Team rider Matt Boni tied his career best finish in the 450 class with a twelfth. Boni, from the beautiful metropolis of Geneva Florida, was on it all night and has impressessed everybody in the sport with his great rides. His bike is working top notch as he is one of the best non-factory sponsored riders in the series and you don’t get there without a great machine. WMI provides the engine and suspension package for the whole team and we thank him for that.

“I’m feeling really good this year and I enjoy racing with guys that are making forty times what I’m making and their bikes that cost a hundred times what mine does” remarked Boni. “Let’s keep it rolling” was all team manager Forrest Butler had to say.

The team’s 250 riders, Kyle “don’t call me Kenny” Keylon and Bryan Johnson were easily in the top fifteen in the qualifying times but suffered some bad luck as they were both running in the top five in the 250 LCQ when a red flag came out. On the re-start, both riders crashed in the first turn proving that the moto gods won’t let the same thing happen twice in the highly competitive 250 class.

We would also like to announce that our star rider, Jason Thomas has decided to switch to the 250 east coast region for the rest of the series. We think that our little tiny warrior feels at home on the tiny bikes and who are we to stop that from happening?
