Press Release

DMXS 8/16/06

Broc Hepler has scored three podiums since his return from an injury including an impressive first overall last weekend at Millville. It looks like Broc will be changing colors next year as silly season is in full swing but we will hear directly from him tonight. I’m just glad he has decided to join us again after the restraining order was issued. I just kept following him around with a "Let Broc Bye" sign and would hold it up to people in the grocery store and porta potty lines and stuff. I now understand after mandated court counseling that I did in fact violate his personal space even though several people did in fact "Let Broc Bye."

Mike Alessi is often a misunderstood young man, but we have known him since his minibike days and he is a pure racer. He is leading the points with three rounds to go, so this is a great chance to catch up with Mike and hear from Jeff and Tony as well.

You never know how a rider will make the transition to the big bike until they actually race one, but Davi Millsaps has done just fine. The Uber-graduate of the famous MTF in South Georgia has enjoyed a stellar outdoor rookie season on the Honda 450. He sits in fourth place in the points through nine rounds and has a legitimate shot at 2nd overall since Chad Reed will miss the remainder of the season due to a shoulder injury. It’s always a pleasure to have "The Duke" on our show.

Ryan Dungey was racing B-Class a few weeks ago and shows up at Millville and lays down a pair of 8's to score a 7th overall at his first national. Team Suzuki and Decoster took some heat for bringing the amateur up too quickly, but they obviously saw something special in Ryan. He is a cool, well-spoken young man, and we will get his perspective on moving up and his race last weekend.

We hung out with Jimmy Button all week at Loretta’s and let me tell you he is full of some great insider info. Unfortunately, we can’t talk about any of that on the air or he would have our bits-n-pieces in a jar on his desk, but we can talk about one of his stars, Josh Hill. Josh just signed with Factory Yamaha so we will have Jimmy break down all the particulars and some of the other amateurs on his radar.

Steve Giberson, aka "Guy B," has spent the last few months pregnant with his latest creation at www.vitalmx.com. We received word last night at 10pm that he was dialated 10cm and about to give birth. After a few pensive hours we are pleased to announce that a healthy baby MX site was born. It weighed in just under the dry weight of a 2007 CRF450, and both baby and mother are doing well. We will catch up with our long time friend for the official word on VitalMX.com. Check it out!

WWR welcomes on Daniel Sani and Michael Blose as the Most Improved Privateers from the last two rounds. Also, Chris "Beeker" Onstott from Fox will join us to talk about their involvement in the WWR program. Darrell Saldana from SoCal Racing has some very cool news to reports for 2007 so don’t miss it. Power to the Privateer!

David Pingree will join us again in the studio tonight for some tomfoolery.
