CARMICHAEL ON ARCA
RACING SERIES:
Carmichael will make
his fifth ARCA Racing Series start at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend.
In his
four previous starts (Talladega, Daytona (2), Rockingham) he qualified
in the
top 10 twice. In February at Daytona Carmichael scored his first top-10
finish
in the series by scoring a seventh finishing position.

CARMICHAEL ON TEXAS:
This
Friday night
’s race at Texas Motor Speedway will be the Florida
native’s third
start at the track. Last season he made two starts at the famed Texas
facility
in his No. 4 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He
started in
the top 10 in both events and finished 11th in June and
12th in November.

BET YOU DIDN’T KNOW:
Carmichael
runs five
miles and bikes up to 25 miles a day around his town of Tallahassee
(Fla.) to
stay in shape. When not at home he uses the hotel gym or runs outside
near the
hotel or racetrack to maintain his exercise regimen.

HE SAID IT:
“You
win championships on bad days,” Carmichael said on numerous occasions

highly successful motocross career. The advice from the former

Champion was mentioned during last week’s SPEED Channel broadcast of the
SX race
from Houston (Texas) in reference to the current SX championship battle.

Carmichael
will pilot

CARMICHAEL ON TEXAS
MOTOR SPEEDWAY:
Texas

is one of my favorite race tracks we visit on the circuit. The track is
very
wide which allows you to move around and not have to stick to one lane.
That
makes for side-by-side racing during the race which is great for the
fans. Right now seat time is everything for me. With the truck
series off for almost a month I jumped at the opportunity to run ARCA
the next
two weeks. The Truck Series races at Texas twice and with no testing
track time
becomes even more valuable. ARCA provides the perfect opportunity for me
to gain
experience and stay in the seat while trucks are off. The Monster Energy

Car will be fast and I am taking my truck crew with me so
nothing is really changing. We are going to win the race and I think we
have a
really good chance to do so.”
