Cairoli set to return to Europe after winter training in the USA

Sitting
out the long cold European winter is tough on any of the elite MX
riders and Red Bull Teka KTM's Tony Cairoli, the current MX1 world
champion is no exception.

While
the weather in Tony's home territory of Sicily might be a touch warmer
than the northern countries, it's still not ideal for perfect
pre-season training. That's why Tony decided this winter to spend some
time in the USA.

Tony
may have had half an eye on the competitive SX competition, and he does
seem to have got a taste for it after Paris Bercy last November but it
was his mission to train hard ahead of the 2011 World Championship
season where he will be defending his title on the KTM 350 SX-F. In his
amazing career Tony has won four world championship titles and two
European titles and he doesn't plan to stop there.

Last
season was his first with the KTM Factory Racing Team and he launched
the revolutionary new KTM 350 SX-F with fair and success, to finish on
top of the championship standings 88 points clear of his nea rest
rival. But Tony's competitive drive pushes him to achieve even more
success so taking advantage of sunny weather on the west coast of the
USA was a priority in his preparation for the 2011 season.

Tony
said he's been busy training both SX and MX, and that sends a signal
that he has ambitions to expand his experience on the tight and
competitive SX circuits. But while the Red Bull KTM US factory team
lineup was preparing for the AMA series it was Tony's job to
concentrate on preparing for his title defense at home in Europe. For
this reason he opted to train on his own and not with the US team.

Tony
returns to Europe on January 30 and he will get his chance to show how
tough winter training has positively influenced his form when the
Italian Championships start in Ponte a Egola in Italy's superb Tuscany
on February 26-27, 2011 and all of his fans and supporters look forward
to that.
