Brock Sellards To Race Toyota AMA Arenacross Series Opener In Des Moines For TUF Racing

Last year’s AMA Arenacross class runner up gets another shot at defending champ Chad Johnson

AURORA, Ill., (Nov. 2, 2006) – The Toyota AMA Arenacross Series announced today that Brock Sellards, last year’s runner up, will race at the series’ opening round this weekend in Des Moines, Iowa. Sellards will be riding for Dave Antolak’s TUF Racing squad.

“Brock called us today and said that he had such a good time running the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series for us last year, that he was wondering if we wouldn’t mind setting up a bike for him or Des Moines,” said Antolak. “I said ‘Of course,’ and personally offered to work as his mechanic.”

Last year’s Toyota AMA Arenacross Series championship came down to the final race of the season in Denver. At that race Johnson and Sellards collided and Sellards hit the deck – with Johnson going on to win the championship by one point!

“Brock still remembers that he owes Chad one for last year, so things should be interesting in Des Moines,” said Antolak. “Des Moines always brings out some surprises, but I think this is one that’s TUF to beat!”

This will likely be Sellards’ only Toyota AMA Arenacross Series round he’ll race this year as he’s committed to the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series.
