Broc Hepler To Ride Championship Winning YZ450F in the Nationals

Cypress, California, May 7, 2008 –Yamaha Motor Corp. is pleased to announce that Factory Yamaha backed rider Broc Hepler will be switching classes for the AMA Nationals and will now be riding the championship winning 2008 YZ450F for the summer.

With the 2008 YZ450F’s proven track record of Championships (the 2008 YZ450F has yet to lose a championship, winning the 2007 AMA Nationals, 2007 US Open and 2008 AMA Supercross series), Broc is very excited about his future on the YZ450F.

“I’m really looking forward to riding the YZ450F this summer, as this is the logical next step in my career. We started tested immediately following the Las Vegas Supercross and my plan is to be 100% ready by Glen Helen”, said an upbeat Broc Hepler.

“The plan all along was to start off Broc on the YZ250F in the Lites class and then transition him to the YZ450F, but after suffering a multitude of injuries during the last two years that plan had been put on hold. That all changed after the Las Vegas Supercross. We talked it over with Broc and decided to go back to the original plan and race the Motocross class at the AMA Nationals”, said Racing Division Manager Keith McCarty.

Be sure to come see Broc Hepler and teammate Josh Hill on their 2008 YZ450Fs at the 2008 AMA National season opener at Glen Helen Raceway Park on Memorial Day weekend, May 24-25th.
