Bell Signs Red Hot MX Star Grant Langston to Ride the Moto-8

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – When AMA Motocross point series leader Grant Langston lines up for the final round of the 2007 outdoor nationals at Glen Helen Raceway this weekend, he’ll have a fire in his heart and a Bell Helmet on his head. The popular Factory Yamaha rider has surged to the overall series points lead after racking up two wins and two second place finishes in the last four nationals and the Bell crew are ecstatic to add Langston to their growing roster of converts to their top-of-the-line Moto-8.

“Grant’s a rider we’ve had our eye on for some time and we’re stoked to have him join our team—especially considering the kind of year he’s having,” said Bell Sports Marketing Manager Chuck Platt. “We’ve grown the team of riders wearing the Moto-8 the past couple seasons and think Grant is a great fit with both Bell and the other riders we sponsor.”

Langston shared the sentiment and, like a number of other top riders who’ve recently made the switch to Bell, he was very impressed with the Moto-8.

“I’m stoked to be associated with a motorsports legend like Bell,” Langston said. “The Moto-8 is really unbelievable. I rode it for the first time in training a few days ago on a hot Florida day and it’s by far the best ventilated and most comfortable helmet I’ve ever worn.”

The heart of the Moto-8 is Bell’s exclusive Velocity Flow Ventilation system that uses a sophisticated set of vents, ducts, exhaust ports and flow management features to create a natural turbulence engine which literally pulls air through the helmet. This coupled with its lightweight TriMatrix Composite shell, easy-to-adjust Flying Bridge Visor and quick drying comfort liner, provides a hassle- and fatigue-free experience while keeping the rider cool and dry.

The Moto-8 was designed, engineered, tested and prototyped from the ground up at Bell’s Santa Cruz, Calif. facility over a period of three years. Bell engineers have continued to tweak the design since its introduction in 2005, bringing an already excellent design even closer to perfection.

In addition to Langston, Bell sponsors the Yamaha of Troy, Motoworld/Toyota/PPG/Yamaha, and Cernics/Kawasaki teams, privateer Nick Wey, Supercross legend Jeremy McGrath and an ever-growing army of amateur hotshots.

Headquartered in Santa Cruz, Calif., Bell is the world’s preeminent supplier of helmets for motorcycling, auto racing, bicycling and skate use.
