Bel-Ray Racing-Weekend Wrap Up

FARMINGDALE, NJ – September 6 , 2011 – Bel-Ray Company, Inc.  – Bel-Ray Racing-Weekend Wrap Up

The Tech3 Racing team of Bradley Smith and Mike DiMeglio competed this past week in Misano, Italy. After qualifying in 6th position, Smith gained an early
advantage by timing the start excellently. He stayed right on the lead pack eventually settling for 6th position
when the checkered flag fell. Smith’s rookie Moto2 season has been one
of ups and downs, but he is finishing strong. Smith is currently
in 5th place in the series standings, just 10 points out of a podium
spot. Teammate DiMeglio has been struggling all season long, but is
finding bright spots along the way. This weekend DiMeglio was 16th place in this very competitive class. The
team will enjoy a weekend off before returning to action in Spain on September 18th.

After
a 2 week break the World Motocross Championship Series returned to
action in Gaildorf Germany. Bel-Ray backed TM Factory Racer Tanel Leok
was still recovering
from a big crash at the previous round in Great Britian. Leok finished 9th in the 1st moto and 28th in the 2nd moto for 16th overall for the day. He is still 11th in the points standings, just 9 points
out of the top 10. The final round of the series will take place this weekend in Italy.

TwoTwo Motorsports/Bel-Ray Racing's Chad Reed rebounded from his Southwick disappointment of last week by finishing 4th overall
this past weekend at the
Steel City National in Delmont, PA. Reed used 5-3 moto scores  to
finish just off the podium. Other Bel-Ray racers in action this weekend
included Calle Aspegren 33-19 for 22nd overall, Fredrik Noren 19-36 for 23rd overall, and Ronnie
Stewart 28-32 for 33rd overall. The series concludes this weekend at the Pala National near San Diego, CA.
