Bel-Ray Racing-Weekend Wrap-Up

FARMINGDALE, NJ – June 20, 2011 –
Bel-Ray Company, Inc.  – Bel-Ray Racing-Weekend Wrap-Up


Bel-Ray
racers had another successful weekend of racing this past weekend.
Bel-Ray’s professional race teams and Elite rider’s motocross racers
competed around the
world in the United States, Canada, Spain and Australia.


In
the shadow of the nations capital American motocross racing took place
in Mechanicsville, Maryland. TwoTwo Motorsports/ Bel-Ray Racing’s Chad
Reed came into the
weekend as the point’s leader and his 3-1 moto finishes gave him the
overall victory. His points lead of 15 points remains in tact heading
into the next round of the series in Colorado. Also qualifying for the
40 man main event were Bel-Ray Elite Racers Lowell
Spangler, Ronnie Stewart and Dakota Kessler. Spangler’s 18-17 moto
finishes gave him 18th overall followed by Stewart with 27-24 finishes for 24th overall and Kessler with 32-34 moto finishes for 34th overall.


The
Kini / Red Bull / KTM / IMX / Bel-Ray Racing team of Kieran Leigh and
Mason Phillips competed in round 3 of the CMRC National Championship
series in Calgary, Alberta,
Canada this past weekend. MX2 rider Leigh finished 9-9 for 9th overall and currently is in 9th place in the season’s point’s standings. MX1 rider Phillips used 9-4 moto finishes claiming 4th overall. He is currently in 11th
place in the season’s standings. The team returns to action this weekend in Morden, Manitoba.


TM
Factory Racing rider Tanel Leok had his breakout ride of the season at
this weekend’s GP of Spain in La Baneza. After 2 consecutive 10th place overall
finishes in the prior 2 rounds in Portugal and France, Leok bounced back from a 13th place first moto finish to a 2nd place in moto 2. His 13-2 moto finishes were good enough for 6th overall. He is 13th overall in
the season’s points standing heading into the July 2nd round in Sweden.


Round
6 of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mx Nationals took place at the Goanna
Tracks Complex in Coonabarabrau, NSW,  Australia.  The Bel-Ray backed
Axis 07 team placed
well with Justin McDonald finishing 4th overall and Cody Mackie finishing 7th overall in the Pro Lites Class. Teammate Dylan Peterson was 3rd overall in the Under 19s class.
