Bel-Ray has a long standing reputation of providing the high performance
lubricants to these racers allowing them to succeed
in all forms of competition. The professional racing teams supported by
Bel-Ray will be competing this weekend in Mexico, Portugal and England
in both on and

off road competition.

World Superbike

The World Superbike
Championship series continues this weekend at the historic Donington
Park circuit in the heart of England. Following the rains of the
previous week in Italy, the Bel-Ray sponsored Althea Ducati
racing team is looking forward to “sunny” British weather.

Mother Nature played a
role in racing action last week in Monza causing the cancellation of
the first race of the day and ending the second race with only half of
the scheduled laps completed. Team riders Carlos
Checa and Davide Giugliano were 7th and 8th
respectively at the checkered flag. Checa spoke about last week’s race
and looked forward to this weekend for a good result. “After the strange
situation at Monza, we are hoping for a more ‘normal’
race weekend at Donington, and two full-length races! Last year went
really well for me at the English track, after some less positive
results in earlier years, and so I hope that this season’s Donington
round will be my best yet. Competition will be tough,
with several strong British riders fighting to win at home, but I too
am ready for battle!” Teammate Giugliano also spoke about the Donington
Circuit and his hopes for a strong finish. “I like the track, or at
least I remember that I liked it back in 2008,
the last time I raced there! It will be interesting to go back and see
how it is in 2012. In the Stock I reached the podium but I know it won’t
be easy this weekend, especially with the whole British contingent. I
feel confident anyway, and we hope to at least
have more stable weather conditions in order to be able to race in a
regular fashion.”

World Enduro Championship

The 2012 Maxxis FIM Enduro World Championship
continues this weekend in Torres Verdes, Lisbon, Portugal. The TM
factory team of Antti Hellsten, Aigar Leok and Nicolo Mori will be
representing Bel-Ray during the racing action. Situated amongst
the beautiful wineries in the region, the course consists of 55
kilometers of difficult terrain, a sure test of man and machine.

The event in Portugal is the halfway point in
the eight round series with all of the team’s riders within the top 15
in the overall points standings. Hellsten is 13th in the E1 class, Mori is 14th in the EJ class and
Leok is a strong 4th in the E3 class.

All of the team’s riders are fit and prepared for the competition this weekend.

World Motocross Championship

The FIM Motocross
World Championship will make an appearance in Mexico this weekend for
the first time in the history of world motocross competition. Taking
place at the Nicolas Espana circuit in Guadalajara, Jalisco
the high altitude and high temperatures will make the event challenging
for the competitors.

MX1

After a victory just
two weeks ago in Fermo CP377 Monster Energy Pro Circuit’s Christophe
Pourcel comes to the new location with great confidence. Currently 3rd
place in the series championship points
Pourcel has won two of the last four motos he entered. Teammate
Sebastien Pourcel suffered a difficult race in Fermo, in which he was
hit in the nose by a rock that caused extensive bleeding. This injury
caused him to DNF the second moto as well. He has recovered
and ready to return to racing this weekend.

MX2

With the first three
rounds of the series completed Bel-Ray sponsored Team Floride Monster
Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit riders Tommy Searle and Joel Roelants sit 3rd and 4th
in the series standings.
Following a first moto DNF last weekend in Fermo, Searle staged an
incredible comeback through the entire field to take a well earned 2nd
place moto finish and valuable championship points. Teammate Roelants
crashed heavily during the 1st moto and
did not start the 2nd due to an injury sustained in the crash. He is
recovered from his injury and looking toward a podium finish in Mexico.
