.- Bel-Ray Race Report Atlanta
SX

Round 8 of the Monster Energy Supercross series took place on Saturday night,
February 26th, at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA. The Bel-Ray backed teams of
Two Two Motorsports and Dodge/ Hart & Huntington Racing were both in
attendance, as were 3 of Bel-Ray’s Elite support riders competing in the
Lites class.

Timed qualifying started off well on the technical track with Two Two
Motorsports’, Chad Reed setting the 2nd fastest time with a 46.906,
followed by Dodge / Hart and Huntington teammates  Ivan Tedesco in 9th
with a 48.285 and Chris Blose in 19th with a 49.694. Lites qualifying had
Bel-Ray backed, Ronnie Stewart with a 52.367 in 36th, Steve Roman with a 52.501
in 39th and Frankie Lettieri with a 53.636 in 52nd.

Heat race action was successful again for the Bel-Ray backed teams. Reed was
second in the first heat and Tedesco and Blose were 4th and 8th in the second
heat. For the 8th time this season, all 3 Bel-Ray backed 450 racers were in the
main event. Lites racing wasn’t as successful, as both Roman and Stewart
missed the cut and did not make the main event.

The main event began with Reed getting a great start, only to be passed by
James Stewart early on lap #1.  When Stewart bobbled, Reed got by and led
for a majority of the main event. After less than stellar starts, Blose and
Tedesco worked up into mid-pack positions. Stewart would get back by Reed just
before the last lap and when Reed made a last ditch effort for the win, the two
collided and they both went down. They were quickly back up and Reed recovered
for a 3rd place finish and the final step on the podium. By the end of the
main, event Tedesco worked his way up to 9th with Blose finishing 14th.

The season points standing now have Reed in 3rd, Tedesco in 9th and Blose in
14th.

The series heads to Daytona International Speedway this weekend for the famous
Daytona Supercross.

The race will be broadcast live on Speed beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET Saturday
night.
