Arenacross Regional Title, Class Wins and A Perfect Season Remains Intact for Moose Racing Riders

This past Saturday night, the AMA
Arenacross Series raced into Dayton, Ohio’s Nutter Center for the final
round of the Arenacross Lites East Regional championship and the
penultimate round of the premier Arenacross class. Moose Racing’s Lites
rider Daniel Aulsaybrook came into the final round trailing Chad Wages
by just four points. Aulsaybrook needed a strong finish and a little
luck to win the title and that’s exactly what happened. A safe and smart
ride landed Aulsaybrook in the runner-up position while his closest
competitor crossed the line in sixth place, giving the second year rider
his first-career Arenacross Regional Championship!

In the
Arenacross class, notably absent was series points leader Tyler Bowers,
who suffered a season-ending injury earlier in the week. Making sure
that Moose Racing was still well represented atop the podium were
Bowers’ teammates and former series champions Chad Johnson and Josh
Demuth. Both riders got out front early in the 25-lap main event and
never looked back. Johnson led Demuth across the finish line to claim
his second victory of 2010 while Demuth took control of the overall
points lead. Johnson still sits in third overall but will likely move
into second at the season finale this weekend in Denver.

Regardless of what happens at the final
round, Moose Racing and Babbitt’s Monster Energy/TiLUBE Kawasaki are
guaranteed to sweep the top three positions in the Arenacross class
championship!

In addition to crowning the Arenacross class
champion, the West Regional Lites title will also be decided in Denver.
Moose Racing’s A.J. Catanzaro holds a 20-point lead in that class and
should he win the championship, Moose Racing will have won all three
Arenacross titles in 2010!

Speaking of a perfect
three-for-three, GNCC and Moose Racing rider Josh Strang kept his
perfect season intact as the third round of the Can-Am GNCC took place
in Morganton, N.C. With a record crowd in attendance, Strang grabbed the
XC1-class holeshot as rain began to fall. With the rain steadily
getting heavier, Strang stayed on the gas out front and focused on
putting time between himself and his rivals. After weather made part of
the course impassible, officials ended the race early and Strang was
officially awarded his third consecutive win of the series.

"It's great to win the first three races.”
Strang said. “They've all been so different, with the sand, the clay and
the mud. But I've worked hard and it is paying off. I'm having a blast
right now and I think that's been the difference."

With this
win, Strang is now 30 points ahead of his closest competitor as the
series takes a three-week hiatus. The Can-Am GNCC Series will return to
action on April 10-11, 2010
for the Pirelli Big Buck GNCC, held in Union, S.C.
