Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun White Makes His 2008 Dew Tour Debut

Live Stream of Skateboard Park Final on NBCSports.com

NEW YORK – July 17, 2008 – Skateboard Vert and BMX Park action highlight NBC Sports' coverage of the Right Guard Open from Cleveland, Ohio, the second stop on the AST Dew Tour. Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun White, "the Flying Tomato," returns to the Dew Tour, seeking his second consecutive Right Guard Open Skate Vert title. NBC Sports' live coverage of Skateboard Vert airs Saturday and BMX Park airs Sunday 4-6 p.m. ET both days. USA Network will air late-night coverage of the BMX Dirt competition Friday and BMX Vert Finals Saturday, midnight-1 a.m. ET/PT both nights. A live stream of the Skateboard Park Final will be available Saturday, from 1-2 p.m. ET exclusively at NBCSports.com and AST.com.

Athlete correspondents Paul Zitzer, Kenny Bartram, Chris Miller and Jamie Bestwick will join host Kenan Harkin and correspondent Tiffany Simons from the North Coast Harbor in Cleveland.

The AST Dew Tour kicked off its fourth season last month in Baltimore, Md., with the Panasonic Open. It was a competition full of exciting and close finishes as Bucky Lasek narrowly clinched the Skateboard Vert title over Pierre-Luc Gagnon by only .25 of a point, and Daniel Dhers narrowly claimed the BMX Park title as just three points separated first through sixth place, to highlight NBC's coverage of the only season-long multi-sport professional tour in action sports.

NBC SATURDAY: SKATEBOARD VERT, 4 PM ET
Baltimore's own Lasek took home the Skate Vert title at last month's event, but there was one big (red-haired) competitor missing – Olympic gold medalist White, who seeks to thrill the crowd in Cleveland once again and capture the Skate Vert title at the Right Guard Open for the second year in a row.

NBC SUNDAY: BMX PARK FINALS, 4 PM ET
Two-time Dew Cup Champion, Dhers, battled back from eleventh place last month to clinch the Panasonic Open title by less than one point over 2005 Dew Cup Champ Ryan Guettler. Dhers also faces tough competition from Mike Spinner who completed the first 1080 at the Vans Invitational last season.
