A sixth place finish for Marc de Reuver in the Dutch Open in Mill

Marc
de Reuver of the Lanes Kawasaki Team finished a moto in sixth position
at round four of the Dutch Open Championship Series in Mill. In the
first moto he had a lot arm pump but de Reuver didn't gave up and was
fighting in a group of riders till the fourth place rider. In the
closing stages of the race he passed Herjan Brakke and finished the race
in sixth position. In the second moto he took a better start but
unfortunately he couldn't find his rhythm and because of this he decided
to retire from the race.

A
lot of fast riders out of the World Championship Series were
participating in this event. Marc was enthusiastic to go out on the
track in practice but he struggled to find his rhythm. Marc tried
several times to put a fast lap together and finally ended the session
in ninth position.

In
the first moto he took a not so good start and at the end of the first
lap he came by start/finish in tenth position. In the beginning of the
race he worked himself up to sixth position. Soon after he closed the
gap to a group of riders with Shaun Simpson, Ken de Dijcker, Rui
Goncalves and Herjan Brakke. Marc had a lot of arm pump but started to
put the pressure on Herjan Brakke. In the penultimate lap he made a pass
stick and finished the race in sixth position.

In
the second moto he took a better start. Unfortunately he couldn't find
his rhythm. Marc tried it for several laps but things weren't going the
way he wanted it to and because of this he decided to retire from the
race.

Overall
he finished in fifteenth position. After four rounds he sits in twelfth
position in the Dutch Open Championship Standings. Next weekend he will
ride the second round of the British Championship Series in Canada
Heights.
