World Title Chases Move to GP of the Netherlands

Points leaders Antonio Cairoli (MX1), Marvin Musquin (MX2) and Steffi Laier (Women) head to the sand of Leirop this weekend for round 14 of the 2009 FIM World Motocross Championship.

Cairoli has a 45-point advantage over Max Nagl, with two rounds remaining. Closer yet is the MX2 chase, where the gap between the top three (Musquin, Rui Goncalves, and Gautier Paulin) are separated by only 28 points.

The women's series also not only resumes this weekend, this is their final round, and Laier has a 37-point lead. With most of her primary competition out with injuries, it's possible she could wrap up the title with one round remaining. Catch more info on the women's division here.
