First win for Aranda in Bercy - Night Two

Gregory
Aranda has always been a strong Supercross rider, and one week after
his European title he claimed in Bercy another significant win. The 20
years old Frenchman beats countryman Cédric Soubeyras and American Kyle
Chislom, who secured his second consecutive podium.

There
was no more public tonight than yesterday, as the Palais Omnisports of
Paris Bercy is ‘sold out’ for three nights, but the atmosphere was
incredible as each Saturday evening. Thanks to delighted fans that came
to cheer their heroes, the event keeps his legendary reputation through
the years and helped the riders to make a strong show.

Winner
of the ‘American race’ after three holeshot, Justin Barcia was once
more the rider to beat tonight. Unfortunately for the winner of the
first night, a disastrous start forced him to deliver a strong race;
Justin was already fighting for the third position when he collided
with Fabien Izoird, and both crashed outside of the track! The US kid
was prompt to be back on his bike but he lost a couple of ranks and all
his chances to get another podium.

It’s
Marvin Musquin who claimed the holeshot, but the Frenchman felt intense
pain in his knee during the first lap of the main event and retired to
go for an IRM. Countrymen Gregory Aranda and Cedric Soubeyras got the
lead, and pushed during a couple of laps to secure their position. They
had no rivals for the win as Kyle Chislom had to recover from a bad
start – he was eight after one lap – while Gautier Paulin raced with a
painful back and neck after his crash on Friday. He put his Yamaha in
fourth position between Chislom and Barcia, followed by Ryan Morais who
ride better tonight.

In
the SX Tour Cyrille Coulon got his revenge after a crash on Friday
during the main event; Alexandre Rouis lead most of the race, but
Coulon increased his speed to pass him in the last part of the race.
