I bought a thor orange mono pulse pants, but after riding with it,the leather of the pant made some black marks on my plastic, i tried to clean the marks with brake cleaner but it doesn't work very well, i feel like there is no way to clean it. Also my plastic are whites, so i'm thinking of buying a new pant or maybe i could do something with my pant (I washed it 2-3 times but it still make plastic dirty).
Any tip on how i could clean it even i do believe it's complicated as brake cleaner cannot do the work now ?
Is there anything i could do with the pant so it stops to mark plastics, if no what should i buy ?
Had a similar issue with new pants and new graphics that had white on them. On my graphics I used a green scotch brite pad and wd-40 and the marks came right off. You can do the same on your plastic. Keep in mind it will dull the shiny finish of your plastic, but you can then hit it with some sc-1 after to get the shine back.
I just tried and it did the work ! The green scotch brite on the sponge really makes the work even with brake cleaner but maybe wd 40 is better and less agressif for plastic.
Anything to do for the pant ? Except maybe buying a new one or apply some product on the leather ?
Thx for the response
I've just noticed that after the leather on my pants wears in a bit they don't seem to mark up my bike quite as much. I've never done anything to my pants because eventually I wear holes through the knees anyway.
When I get home I wash, dry and use Meguirs Cleaner Wax on the scuff marks and plastics.
The Shop
I use acetone, the black mark come right off with no effort
I'll buy acetone i think !
My pants still do bad mark on the bike after a lot of washing ...
Mr Clean Magic Eraser. Works like a charm.
