Just checking if that piston breakage is now a non- issue.

I’m still waiting for someone to post the updated piston part #….This appears to be an isolated friend of a friend problem, I have 60 hard hrs on my stock 23 300sx top end, still runs like a beast. Like all my previous 300”s, I will take it to 100hrs before I pull it apart.

Absence of a new part number does not necessarily correlate to the absence of a problem.  And absence of you having a problem also does not necessarily correlate to complete absence of a problem.    An issue can exist that manifests in some cases but not all.   The issue exists whether or not any new part numbers are created.  Does that mean every single 300 is going to blow up?  Of course not.

If there was a quality spill it probably won’t get an updated part number because there was nothing wrong with the old part number other than some parts were not built to spec. Or maybe the piston was never an issue and something else is causing the problems.
