So what's the consensus on these 23 300SXs I see a lot of low hour bikes for sale. Are they junk or not ? There's one not far from me for a pretty good price I'm wondering if it's worth picking up ?
There's the group. I don't have one of these bikes and have never ridden one. But I've seen enough in that group that I went and bought a 2023 GasGas MC250 specifically to avoid all the issues with these TBI bikes. Too much plug fouling, broken water pipes and thermostats, and cracked cylinders for me. There seems to be another guy with a cracked cylinder about every day and most are very low hour bikes. And KTM is having massive lag time sourcing parts and fixing these bikes. I'm sorry, but the "you're letting your bike idle too long" or "you're not warming it up the right way" or "you're just too slow and aint ripping it hard enough" is BS to me. A 10K fuel injected bike should run perfectly and should not require some magical warm up procedure. All my carb 2-strokes can idle as long or short as I want and will never foul a plug or do this:
