Is your photo from Murphys Mx?
I was 1 yr off of these. I had a new 92 rm125 with a pc pipe . Snappy easy to ride with a real light feeling. I asked for permission to ride a unfarmable steep hilly valley area. The RM was so fun to jump & corner. Tommy,s 94 NCY yz was a Huge deal at the time. The whole look of everything & the mini bill,s silencer was too cool. I bought Pedro,s 95 NCy sx bike. I like the feel of that more than any bike today. Fun cliff jumping bike. The sharpest bike ever made . I think it’s the 02-07 cr 125. Here’s mine after 4 rides I went to wash her. None of the bays worked. She has to sit all winter dirty , I hope she isn’t too mad. Never mind the tape ovr the air box, that’s got washing.
Tommy?

There was a point in my life where all I wanted was one of these
Gotta admit, the Benelli BX450 was a cool looking bike... quite ahead of it's time with some very unique features. Rare to find one these days, but, they're around! Kind of what I'd expect from Ducati.
Let me end this discussion.....
Did these actually make it to production? I thought it was a concept bike. I remember them appearing at shows and thinking how good they looked, but didn't see anything again.
I throw in my aluminium framed '89 VRP Mugen Honda CR 125 which i used in the swiss championships.
It was way ahead of the time with its italian VRP aluminium chassis, gas tank, rear subframe-airbox combo, swingarm. The engine had a Mugen kit, Mugen USD forks, Mugen rear shock...a rocketship!
me too - almost all the fast guys had them, till the TM125 came out then the CR125.
They were produced for 4 model years.... pretty much no changes. Certainly very limited numbers. There's a shop in NL with 9 of them in the crate! If you want to order, I think about EUR 9000 a shot! http://www.motodacross.com/benelli/450.html

Cosi Trucco- so trick. Cosi Bellissimo- so beautiful. LuckyNino has the trickest bikes. And he,s fast a former 125 GP racer if I remember right. He won a Huge race in Italy last yr McGrath & others where at. I watched his yt vids on his Af Mugen bike it sounds so sweet. Vital should,ve Done a story on him last yr.
That Maico ad, shot by the late, great Dave Dahm.
Saw this the other day, not the "best ever" but pretty neat if you like old Maico's
RJ's 1987 CR250...

MC125 engine?
BTW, owned one of the '86 VFR750F's (in the background) back in the day. Still gorgeous almost 40 years later.
Took the stock cans off and replaced with F1R slip-ons. The exhaust note was glorious.
The nostalgia from when I first started watching racing has me loving all the bikes from the 90s and early 00s.
Pastrana bikes 1999,2000,2001:
Oh wow, if I had some spare cash I'd be over there to get one. Not to ride it; just to put it in a glass case. 2009 and they still look cooler than most bikes today, I wonder how they rode?
Weirdly, my favourite all-time road bike is the Foggy Petronas Superbike and there's a warehouse full of unsold ones too, somewhere in the UK. I guess niche is no good if the niche is too narrow. Such a shame.
I'm loving all the vintage bikes, but here are some that grabbed my attention from current models.
Hard to go wrong with the '87 KX250/500
I loved the 87/88 Husqvarna TE510 even tho I was way to small to think about riding it. The single backbone frame was really cool, this bike looked space age for its time (apart from the forks anyway)
If you like vintage and current, this "retro" themed one might scratch both itches.
Looks like a cross between the current design and the '85-'90 US model. Also resembles Danny LaPorte's 1982 World Championship winning Yamaha 250 (Danny's bike had a black frame). All it needs are the Yamaha "racetrack" graphics to complete the look.
Wow, that is a good looking bike.
My all time favorite graphics. 99 pro circuit.
anything from pro circuit is the sickest
