this is some pretty spectacular racing. and the track is gnarly. I mean this is arguably more intense than what we have today but what do you all say?

Definitely was more intense in the 90's and early 2000's. The issue for me was most of the outdoor track builders starting turning MX into SX . Long whoop sections, triples and giant table tops. I was fine with the big TT's , but the other stuff just caused more crashes and injuries. Especially the long , gnarly, whoop sections. Those are just not meant for C & D class riders. Too dangerous. Needs to be reserved for higher level riders only, during racing. Practice is fine, not near the pressure to do it all. Nowadays, outdoor tracks are true motocross , as they should be. Even AX isnt as gnarly as it used to be indoors. And still plenty of crashes. lol

No question.   SX was far superior on 2 strokes and the older tracks.     It's not even close.

SX has been inching ever closer to Nitro Circus every year.   They're selling the "Thrills, Chills and Spills" extreme sport aspect now.     Most of the newer tracks have become a 44 second arenacross joke.

They need a 250 2 stroke only Pro Class at supercross. Make that class a no age limiting 250 class and it runs all 17 rounds for a national championship.

Just let them race in the 250 class where they belong.

Someone posted the 20+ minute intro. A lot of crappy fire works and stuff. It. Seems like that is the focus, stuff like burning logos, etc. the high light is David Lee,s voice by far. My voice is way better than his, move the speaker a little closer your body honey. And let my voice penetrate through your spine all the way to your sexy little toes.

Different strokes for different folks but equal displacement for all!

Now why would they let 250s into the 250 class?

I could watch that all nite! That was real SX!  On a real SX track! How the hell did we morph into rut o cross? 250 is the best engine size for Sx..2 or 4 strokes

I forgot how Art was fun to hear and excited for the riders wanting them to battle and win being the show too.

Whew, thanks for this. Yes these tracks aren't the 'cookie cutter' tracks of today. Not as fast, bc it's packed with sketchy shite. Today, the rhythm is consistent track to track, bc every layout is made of the same measured obstacles/sections. It gets boring mid season.

I love the "turn about is fair play" when Ezra smacked MC , then MC smacked him back ..lol. I recently watched 2017 SX when Zack Osbourne took out Savagty to win the 250 title on the last lap. Everyone was all "you chaps think that may have been a touch aggressive aye?"

When Harrison crashed at St. Louis Jett ran over his bike as an obstacle and then someone else into AC’s leg.

Bring back lime and the tracks would have blue groove in the corners like they always used to.

I know it’ll never happen and I’m living in a fantasy world, but remember how successful the 2 stroke Straight Rhythm event was? I wish someone like Red Bull or Eric Peronnard would do an off season two stroke race. Do it in a popular travel destination, like Las Vegas. Put in the Orleans Arena and bring back the US Open. 2 nights in a row. If it were put together by a successful group like those mentioned above, there’s no way (ok, maybe very, VERY unlikely) that it wouldn’t be a hit.

Yeah unfortunately now it’s Supermotocross to give the payout and season long motivation and 3+ race finale. If they are at dragway or speedway anyway they could put a long straight section together in front of the fans but I don’t know how many of today’s racers can hit stuff on a 250 or 125.  I have already seen some crashes with existing 250F having trouble like Hunter came up short in a practice cross wind crash.  They have amateur, jr, vets, or legends races already at local or national races with 2 strokes that have attracted RV and other old guys!

Watching the that OP posted I can't help thinking why are those nice hardpack tracks have been replaced by rutty a slot car tracks where it's impossible to change riding once you are committed to a certain rut? First it was the outdoors tracks and now the supercross is too starting to resemble more like slot car racing with minimal passing opportunities
