Just watching the press day coverage and in Eli's interview he said his neck was jacked. Explains a lot.
On one hand it felt rehearsed to me, just to throw something out there and on the other hand it makes perfect sense why he was so far back.
He did look stiff and honestly didn’t look around especially when being passed he was looking dead forward
Its an ailment my wife calls “Dad Neck”. Usually happens when you injure yourself sleeping. Happens to me about twice a year. Welcome to getting old

This used to happen to me all the time, and now when I go to bed at night I consciously try to make sure my head is supported and not a weird angle. Seems to work. It always sucks going through the day with a severely sore neck.
Necks are weird man. I was carrying a rucksack through a narrow gate a while ago. I turned my head to the left to shuffle through and something popped in my neck. Couldn't move my head for a week!

I,m sure Dylan,s neck is messed up from the Daytona crash. He landed upside down on it. All my disk but 1 is ruptured in my neck. I hv injections lined up the 3rd one they put you under & you need a driver. Probably skipping that one. But once in a while you get a shock down your arms & whatever is in your hands drops. No control ovr your arms& hands when that happens. Forgot about the pinched nerves that’s not fun. Because it’s 24-7

Yeah on his 24 hp factory bike. My pal borrowed a 83 yz250 from his pal. He says take it easy on my baby. We say don’t worry about it we,ll treat her good. We switched bikes at the ski hill trespassing track. I had that thing screaming. My pal crashed my bike hard. Next thing you know where in top gear pond skimming. We brought his bike back all full of muddy water with weeds stuck in everywhere. It was funny he,s saying what did you do to my baby . Haha. We just took off Thx man see ya later.

Moto days with bonfire nights jammer on the guitar all through the night. Some would try to drink him under, others would sleep, but nothing stopped old Jimmy once he sat on the seat.

Been dealing with a pinched nerve in my neck since november from sleeping weird one night. The struggle is real....
It’s common sense. Training, fitness, science have all improved in 40 years. That guy was racing plumbers and carpenters.

Neck stuff sucks. I’m still recovering from a staph infection in my neck muscles.
