I believe that is exactly what the op is hoping for…

When I had my team, kids would walk into our area and grab plastic on the ground (like five feet from the mechanics) during tear-down. When you tell them no and to drop it, they go whiney and ask why they couldn't have it.
I thought I was going to go to jail during outdoors because I was very tempted to smack the shit out of some of them...
Well....if they are rewarded with these items after asking then why would they NOT ask? It's a weird thing in motocross with our accessibility to the riders. It would drive me nuts
F Keefer for making this an issue and F his buddy Matthes too while I am at it. I hate to say it but is seems Keefer has been suked down to his level these days.
We attended the first Ryan Dungey Foundation ride day at Fox Raceway and while we were walking through the pits talking to our daughter Julia on FaceTime and was in Hawaii at the time. We saw Ken ( who besides Dungey was the top guy there and had just finished riding outdoors and actually hurt his ankle in a first turn crash at the last race but still showed up at the event ) so I approached him and asked if he would mind taking the time to say hi to her since she was a huge fan of his so he spent a couple minutes talking with her and also my wife and I when he could’ve very easily said no. Ken also spent the day riding the vet track with the kids at the ride day. He definitely left an huge impression on a family that were already big fans.
You should listen to his interview on Pulp. It's 100% about the kids saying please and thank you rather than just expecting things to be given to them. I absolutely agree with Roczen and Keefer on this.

Keefer posted on Twitter about seeing roczen tell a kid no when the kid didn’t ask politely for his goggles. I didn’t see this and can’t seem to find it on the replay. Anyone know what Keefer was talking about?
Oh heard it was Ping’s kid, who let Kenny borrow the goggles for a special event

What was it a few years ago or so when they gave a crf 125f I believe ? to a kid . I can't remember what the promotion or contest was but Ken presented it to the kid and was smiling just as much as the kid was . He looked genuinely happy doing it . Even though I can't remember the specific promotion that image stuck with me . It was a cool moment .
If we're thinking of the same thing, the kid got the bike because his bike burnt down in a wildfire
I can never understand why the riders throw their helmets, goggles, gloves into the crowd for it to become a free for all. If I was fortunate enough to be in that position, I’d present the gear to whatever kid is nearest. I feel that way it would feel more personal than fighting over it.

It is super cringey watching some random assholes scrabbling around fighting for some goggles or something.
Good on Ken for teaching someone a valuable lesson, and a lesson their parents should have taught them long before now. Hope the kid is smart enough to learn from it instead of just whining about it, but it's doubtful.
My son is so well mannered and would never yell or demand anything like that. He has been handed so many neat things while hanging out watching the mechanics work, just enjoying what he’s there for, one of which is a race worn pair of Tomac goggles. He wears them to ride and at dirt track races also.
Is there anything unique about the goggles that the factory guys use?
Getting a jersey would be cool because it has the rider's name on it, and sometime they are one-off designs. But aren't the goggles the same thing I could buy at the local shop?
I believe that is exactly what the op is hoping for…
From my experience it’s supercross, because they take down the awnings during the mains so when the bikes get back, there’s no barrier
Punk ass kids..

The Shop
Different sport but Paddy Pimblett (MMA) refuses selfies without a please, I hate people with no manners - it doesn’t cost anything.

Noticed that as well walking thru the pits at Charlotte!
Saw one kid carrying numerous items, and another kid handing him cash to get the the number plate he was carrying...
Good
The Man allowed me to touch the hem of his garment. I’ve yet to wash that hand since…
He let me watch him pound stakes for the team awning at Freestone. I shoulda bottled his sweat...
"Fuck them kids"
This story would be a lot better if Kenny kicked the kid in the nuts.
Good on Kenny. He's been a dad for a couple of years now. You learn to tell kids no when they're acting like little shits.
My son and I met him in Charlotte and he was very kind to us.

Pit Row
Do parents just raise their kids to be entitled shit heads with no manners these days? My dad would’ve smacked me if I acted like that.

My dad would have taken my elsinore away.
I would have rather been smacked.

The tear offs should have the riders number on them . After the race the kids can run around and collect them all off the track ,win win.

Ping wanted a thank your from Roczen after straight rhythm and got shafted too. Just sayin.
