Monster Cup/Red Bull Straight Rythm

SMX > RBSR > Monster Cup

We need straight rthym back, all though i didn’t watch the monster up races live, i’ve watched videos and smx is the closest thing to those races.

What if they made a straight rhythm track for one round of SMX? do it for the first round  so its not a title decider.    Maybe they could work in a Monster cup like bonus for a round of the SMX series  ?  Extra Mill for the racer that has fastest qualifying, wins all his races and holeshots every time.  That could add a lot of excitement to a round.  I don't know how  a straight rhythm round would go over as a points paying event with the riders and teams. But having it the first round of SMX would limit its impact on the title the way they pay out points. 

 Bringing them back like they were as stand alone events is unlikely with so many races already. I feel like they would not get a lot of the big name riders if they did them along with all of the SX,MX and SMX rounds. Since they pretty much have said that is how they came to the number of races. Dropped a SX ,and MX round, and dropped Monster cup.

We went to both once. Monster cup in 17 and rbsr in 19.

I enjoyed the monster cup most.  My then 11 y/o grandson absolutely loved the red bull event best, he got to mingle with so many people he knew. He got time with stank dog, 722, etc. I enjoyed  both and think an alternating thing would be cool.

Straight Rhythm but on a downtown street like Nashville 

straight rhythm , perfect balance of it being a fun relaxed event while still having competitive racing with the mix of 2strokes & 4strokes

Red Bull Straight Rhythm, specially with 2 strokes was super fun to watch, riders seemed more relaxed and always had a good vibe. Fun event for everyone! Would be cool to watch it again soon, I always catch myself watching old replays. Probably the best off season event together with the MXoN.

Monster Cup.. We basically have 3 Monster Cups now with SMX and it actually includes every rider aswell (Monster Cup always had riders sitting out..). I don't miss that event at all, or at least it doesn't make a difference for me with or without.
 

I think we are kinda blessed currently with off season racing in general. SMX, MXoN, Paris, AUSX, Friese Arc (WSX).. and more

That race turned into the Monster Cup .

I love RB Straight Rhythm.    2 stroke fun....what's not to love.

Monster Cup....was all right, but in general, SX races have become a  complete "Extreme Sports" joke these days. 

Won’t happen because of greed, but imo the season is too long now with SMX. 
Get rid of a couple of rounds of SX (not Outdoors), align the schedule better with MXGP, and there’d be plenty of time for international rider visits both sides of the pond, MXdN, international SX, and RBSR.

Monster Cup is obsolete, unless it became something different, or more unique like the old US Open.

That would be awesome right down broadway. It’s hilly and can you imagine how good those two strokes would sound in between the buildings!!

I feel like SMX has taken Monster Cup’s spot. Would be cool to see Straight Rhythm back though.

Not complaining about the downvotes,  just responding to the reaction. I’m kinda surprised the majority of voters would pick RBSR or the Monster Cup over SMX. Both were cool one off events in the off season but they no longer happen because of SMX and I think 3 weekends of racing to finish off the year tops them easily.

I got a text from a friend of mine that is complete non Moto and happened to be in Tennessee just a few days ago for the Tennessee Knock Out. He sent me tons of videos and was super into it and wanted to learn more. It was pretty cool to here all his friends in the background completely enamored by some of those Enduro guys. I like this idea 👍🏻

I'd like a tight, arena style race as well. Or an offseason event at beginning of December as a warm up

Every now and then, if I throw a YouTube video up on TV, it’ll autoplay one of the RBSRs from years ago, and I’ll end up watching it for 3-4 hours. Straight rhythm is just constant action, I love it. They should make it one of the playoff rounds, in my opinion.
