I honestly think Haiden himself is quite blameless in this whole debacle. Every interview with him he comes across as a pretty laid back kid who just wants to race and prove he's a badass, which is what he should be doing and wanting. The marketing machine behind him, his dad, is the one pulling all the other strings.

Gee, maybe because they've seen and heard all the criticism about it and then formulated the response to rebut all those points??

What more do you want to know? he said he broke it three weeks before the season, it caused him pain the whole season and that one of the screws did some ligament damage and he will be off the bike for 6 weeks....but then again nobody would expect anything different from Capt Anti....

I want the media to ask real questions regarding the subject.

1: Why do you/the team need to lie about a injury that over the whole season snowballs in to a larger lie, and then calling people haters when that bubble burst.

2: If this was the case, why did they feel the need to drag out on the DesNations response? And the whole Star racing taking the hit for it and then ended up sending 3 riders.

I don’t question the injury, i question all the lies around it. And when you have done it during the season, i won’t buy anything he says just because it comes out of his mouth.

So the ”Haiden mxdn” part of that interview should have had some other questions than ”will you watch the race and Cooper Webb on your bike?”.

Just stick to the truth in the future and people will not question the things you say.

Sorry that i don’t swollow everything out of your camp Marissa.

First off calling RC and RV media is a little over the top...they're just a podcast and I think Haiden a commendable job in explaining the situation...

1. He explained that in the interview you may want to listen again...He's not the first rider to not talk about an injury and he won't be the last...In fact come to think about it has Sexton said anything about the extent of his recent injury?

2. This has been discussed previously with him and others close to the team explained that there were many moving pieces at the time and as far as dragging it out....it was just a matter of days from when he was asked to the point he declined....you and I have a very different view on what dragging something out is....

Choosing not to discuss something is not lying....He owes you nothing...not even an explanation but he did explain... but then again any explanation or factual reason given would never be enough for you Captain Anti....as there is nothing he could ever do that would make you happy....

The usual bro-media fluffing.

Not one question were asked about the injury that never excisted until outdoors, or why the answer on going to MxDN never came until after Tomac said no.

Lewis would have done a way better job with this.

Like others have said if you think Haiden is the only rider that has ever withheld information about an injury then you haven't been paying attention...Like it or not it has been a part of this sport for it's entire history and you can't hold one rider to a standard that you don't for every other rider that has withheld injury info....oh wait it's because it's Deegan....I guess that's different rules....

The answer to both was in the interview...  He did not want to boost the confidence of his competition.  It makes perfect sense.  When you've got a potential weakness, the last thing you want to do is share that with your opponent.  Until there are rules to the effect that it must be disclosed, this is what you get.

Riddle me this:

If you beat a rider that you know have a injury or you beat one that you don’t have one, which one will you gain the most confidence of?.

And then we turn it around, if you get beat by a rider that you think is healthy and then get beat by one that you know have a injury, which one of those two will be more demoralizing for you?.

Imo it’s a win-win for the injuried rider that tells it since if he get beat, the other riders know that he was not healthy (like Jett this summer with his shoulder) and if they got beat the competition will take a larger mental beating knowing that they could not even beat him while he was not at a 100%.

so this keeping it a secret is just some old day logic that i will never understand.

Translation: The Deegans are getting bad press for dodging the MXDN two years in a row, made worse by teammates stepping up (Can’t Blame Star Yamaha Now), and want to head this off now because they 100% want to go next year when it’s easy being held in the U.S.

So they run to a safe podcast (Monster Energy Controlled) to put out disinformation. Daddy Deegan knows they won’t ask any non preapproved questions and go along with the Deegan narrative.

Sorry not buying it.

He layed out the BS wayyyyyy toooo thick..

Nope, it doesn't work that way.  Never has, and never will.

Just like Sexton and his sudden burst of speed and confidence with Jett out.  He was barely beating Hunter, then he shredded him....  Get it??

Maybe drop the Deegan hate...

It’s a cultural thing and has nothing to do with the Deegan ”hate” you want to call it.

In the GP’s the riders are open with it and it doesen’t hurt them…

Sexton beat Hunter because Jett was not there, pretty bad comparison. It’s not like Sexton became another rider just because he knew that Jett was hurt. He still got beat in every overall as long as Jett was on the track.

Yeah, we definitely need to talk about him more 🙄

“We have a wrist brace on for now.” Lol, like the whole team is wearing wrist braces? I’m sure he means “We, as a team, are wearing a theoretical wrist brace of positive support thoughts toward my wrist.”

The only thing that truly bothers the Deegashians is people not talking about them.

We don’t really care enough about him to watch the whole thing. It explains it in the title of the vid. Deegan is a fast kid on a dirt bike. Good. That’s all we need to know. Yes, we’re sorry for his wrist. There.

So you don't think it was demoralizing for Sexton to get beat by Jett in SMX, who he knew came back under prepared from an injury? After supposedly gaining speed and confidence while he was out?

I think it does work that way.

I dont understand why people make posts like this. For 1 it shows you care about downvotes. 2 it shows your opinion is in the minority and you're trying to convince people your down votes are people that agree with you.

The guy got hurt around Christmas and had surgery, was hurting and turned it into championships. Good for him and much respect.
