So Honda dumped Ferris for Beaton and Ferris returned the favour by smoking him on a stock privateer Yamaha?
Made all the other Australian riders and teams look amateur

Ferris is such a beast. Built different.
Ferris certainly showed up the factory teams and riders! Pretty embarrassing really they got beat by a guy coming out of retirement riding for a shop.
I think he retired so wasn’t dumped at all.
Don’t think they’re embarrassed at all…don’t believe for one minute he was on a stocker or retirement age anyway. He also had his pants pulled down at quite a few rounds this year - Albury, Gillman, Coolum. But in saying that he was very good at the other rounds and rode bloody good.
