It’s a spectacle sport to the public.  Vince puts money in pockets.  What are we not understanding ?  Safety ? Pffft…

That's my point - the rules are not clear - they're way to imprecise - and the enforcement is even worse.  But the solution is not to resort to frontier justice, it's to fix the rules and enforcement.  You imagine how riders like Sleaze, Old Hombre, and Dum Dum would change if instead of losing a few spots in the race, or a few points, or $1000, they were hit with $50,000 fines and lengthy bans from competing.

In terms of affecting change to the rules and enforcement regime at the AMA, the teams have all the power here - they should refuse to compete unless the situation is rectified.

You keep throwing Anderson's name in this conversation. There is a massive difference with Anderson's race craft and history compared to Freise. Jason can get greasy at times but he's making passes or has the speed and defends his line. He's had his moments but owns it. Him and Mookie had a few run in's and they both hashed it out like men and now both show respect to each other since. He doesn't take people out or cross jump on every opportunity like V Freise.

It would be one thing if Freise had the speed after his great starts and just raced like he did to have a good result. The issue is he doesn't. So he runs from side-to-side on straights, cross jumping, running out of his lines in corners and targets riders that are much faster taking himself out in many instances as well because he doesn't have the speed. The bias is what pisses people off. You can't be a hypocrite when it comes to shit talking.

Herr bitch loves to talk about Brian and his tattoos. Super hypocritical.

Jett makes his first mil and gets tated up like his hero Rodman. Meanwhile Haiden doesn't have any tattoos that I know of or give a shit about.

Absolutely the best intentional takeout EVER!! I completely laugh my ass off every time I see it. 🤣

My 2-cents...Deano needs to put up or shut up. No one would blame him if he completely took Friese out...I mean, COMPLETELY. But, he's too nice a guy to retaliate, and Vince takes advantage of that.

Malcolm Stewart definitely had one of the most FU takeouts of all time when he had barcia next to him and instead of turning for the corner just purposely went straight completely off the track in order to crash barcia into a bunch of hay bales and rigging. It doesnt get any more GFY then that!

Ok you can argue the term dirty. And people can have a different definition of the word in motocross lingo. He's unnecessarily aggressive when he doesn't need to be.

I remember when Barcia completely slammed into Bowers and broke his leg, then Bowers went for redemption a year later and got disqualified for the night lol.

Sorry but Denno needs to man up, instead of whining about it. Go kick Vince's ass. Maybe Vince would back it down with him. Most bullies back down after you punch them in the face.

This has been addressed many times with football in Australia, if the victim was not aware of the attack, and it resulted in injury, it's assault, and has resulted in convictions. Under Australian law, the victim does not need to make the complaint, it can be raised by any witness to the assault.

I agree and don't understand why people get so weird with it.

I think the difference is that guys like you and me go riding. I don't know what all 9 of the other guys do, but I promise they don't ride. I wish they did.

It’s because you have to be on a team and if don’t agree or defend your team no matter what, you’re on the other side. I find it quite ridiculous…

At some point in the sport’s history, me saying my favorite rider is X got translated into me saying your favorite rider sucks. It’s a really weird mindset that I never understood.

Yeah I'm a little concerned about it if I'm honest it used to be 'respect all riders but I'd be happiest if such and such won' but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.. The bullshit that has gone on about the AUSX is crazy!

Also I thought the whole Anderson Jett thing was awesome.. Jett got in his face and Ando showed him why he shouldn't have haha young bull old bull and not a backward step from either of them haha..

Sometimes, but for the most part us Americans are respectful of other riders. The things I read on here about Deegan from guys like Herr Bitch, it's insanity.

People used to be fan of the sport before being fan of a certain rider, used to respect all riders for their contribution to the sport and the risks they take. Now it's a mixed bag.

Also some riders like to play that angle on social media, helps with the online revenue and merchandise sales, that's just a game.

And the unfortunate side effect of being online, people taking this way too seriously

That's the polarized society we live in, it doesn't just apply to peoples views on riders.

Yep.  Used to have to keep your insults to yourself or you may get your ass kicked.  Now that's grouped in with bullying, but online bullying is worse and having to face someone and the life lessons that comes with are invaluable.  Now social media has inflamed negativity with low self esteem being "satisfied" with likes and negativity garners added attention.  Like fanning a fire.

The root of the problem here is Moto concepts continually giving him a ride for some unknown reason, instead of some up and comer. If he's out of a ride there, I highly doubt any other team would pick him up.

Deano is in a lose lose situation, he doesn't want to stoop to Vince's level and take out for the sake of it. But he will continually find himself around Vince on the track because they are around the same speed now.

Give me a break Cumdust.  The amount of vitriol foreign riders, especially Jett Lawrence, have got from some American fans is completely over the top.  Don't tell me it's not based on nationality either, I've yet to see sustained negative attacks on Jett or the Lawrences from a single non-American poster on here.

It's a combination of the fact humans are tribal creatures, are prone to bias and the placing of emotion over reason, and finally, social media which exacerbates all these factors in the most negative way possible in order to keep people hooked on screens.  People on screens means more advertising revenue.

He's got a real hard on for Ando because he made Jett cry. The bias when it comes to fans favorite riders is so out of hand. Jett is one of my favorites but he started some shit and Ando finished it. This dude is calling him a washed up back marker constantly.

My problem with Anderson predates his blocking moves on Jett.  I just think he's a dirty rider and always has been.  Likewise Dum Dum and Friese. In terms of being washed up?  He's clearly not washed up in the same way Sad Reed was in his final few years in SX but he's on the downslope.  If you think he's going to be as good as he was in 2022, and before that 2018, you're tripping cuz.

This smells like bad fish and will probably age that way…too. 🤣

Lets revisit Anderson's results at the end of the SX season.

You guys talk about Deegan in such a disrespectful way it makes me embarrassed to log on to VitalMX.

Almost all of the Lawrence shit talking is towards the fans, not the riders themselves. You guys talk about the whole family, homeboy above even brought Reeds wife into the discussion.
