So great to see this guy loving the sport so much again. What an asset he is to be back in the public eye. His mix of being able to critique the races, and the riders mixed with his humor is unbelievable. This is a great episode today.
So good. The only thing I don't agree with him saying is Colt becoming a consistent top 5 rider. No way that happens unless a bunch of people are hurt IMO.
"Kenny needs to take a b%#+h out"
It’s very good. I hope he keeps it going for a long time!
Love his thoughts about perception. It’s such a real thing. Barcia and Roczen are on the polar opposite ends.
The Shop
Moisture-wicking fabric provides a soft, lightweight fit
Never a big Bubba fan, but he has more insight than any other commentator, (sorry Bailey) and pods are hilariaus and insightful. He says Colt Nichols should podium. lets see!! Keep it up James!! You are really the SMOOTH CRIMINAL!!!
People always get hurt…
What’s most impressive and enjoyable for me is how he discusses different riders approach to the track. How they negotiate different obstacles in great depth. He really delves into so much nuance in the track approach that no one else does.
For those who listen we are fortunate to have a guy who achieved a very high level of competitiveness and now shares his thoughts.
There is no denying his abilities and stand out performance as always going for it.
I believe he sets a very high benchmark and will only grow in popularity.
Funny how he's pretty much saying the same things that normal fans are commenting under Roczen's instagram posts but knowing that with his reputation he won't get cussed out by him
His discussions about specific track parts.. loose dirt on the out side... etc are really interesting to listen too. It shows me how detailed he was in his approach. And just his level of knowledge . That combined with his observations about riders movements etc... are really interesting and fun to listen to.
The best by far about analysis.
“Off the hook”?
I had to check my calendar. Suddenly I was worried about student loan payments and the price of long distance calling.
Awesome hearing JS7’s perspective. Every episode is better than the last. He’s also looking lean - back in fighting shape. Wonder if he’s been riding behind the scenes…
"I smell the box"
Wish he would replace RC in the booth.
He manages to be pretty dang objective too, which is impressive.
When you were the FMOP and have FU money, you get to say whatever you want and it's hard to argue ANY of his points. And he's getting better every week.
If James Freaking Stewart says Colt should be a consistent top 5 guy, who am I to argue?
If Colt doesn't become a top 5'er we need to ask "What didn't he do to progress as James thinks he can?"
At least we get him all summer long this year!
It proves that an individual doesn't have to be elite at a particular craft in order to develop relevant analysis related to it.
(By individual I'm referring to the randos saying the same thing as James, not James himself obviously)
Pit Row
Great listening to him break the cornering down
He needs to dig out a 2002 kx125, slap 259 on it and turn up at the veterans des nations at foxhills. Just imagine.
His break down of the corner at Dan Diego was pretty freaking cool!!
Just listened to it
I found it to be excellent.
