Bondo - Weekly Complaint box

Here is the thing that JT maybe has forgotten.  I don't give a shit what he thinks, nor does anyone else on that matter.  What matters is the final product to the viewers not JT working for them.  The final product sucks, we had an entire moto between two legit legends and hardly wavered over 2.5 seconds. Let us not forget that it had championship implications on the line, and they cut away? Logic does not exist with that dude at the helm. It is an old, boring, stale production that doesn't even focus on the actual task at hand.  The race. 

Right then, at that point in time, nobody gave a flying rat's ass about barcia and roczen's battle for mediocrity.

The amount of time spent gushing over these two, was beyond maddening. 

WRT cutting away from the lead fight to show other racers: keep in mind that the audience is NOT the client here. We’re the product being sold to the advertisers. They pay for placement of their sponsored blurbs, and that includes their riders. There’s no doubt the producers of the show are obliged to provide some airtime to the brands that pay for it. The best they can do is try to time those cutaways as inoffensively as possible. I’m not defending this practice, just saying it’s possible.

It was a shit track. We thought it’d race ok after seeing how it shaped up in quals but the prep later took out all the ruts and line options and it just sucked for racing. There was some decent racing 8-15th in 250s and Brown sure did show up. That 2nd 450 moto was a snoozer and was a real bummer way to end the season. Then getting out afterwards was a clusterfvck of poor traffic management. All in all def not worth the $$$$ in tickets and food/booze.  Lesson learned. 

Hopefully this Tintin impersonator won't be on too much.

Diffey doesn't bother me nearly as much as that Todd guy. Guy must have mentioned a dozen times in each Triple Crown race that scoring was "PGA format - low score wins." We got it after the first one, dude...

Even my wife can't stand Ricky, although she doesn't share my utter dislike of Screech.

Commentary is going to be rough this year.  I just listened to Title 24 and RC was even worse than usual - and that's in the low pressure environment of his own podcast! 

The depth of RC's analysis: 'It's gonna be innerestin..."  

Combine that with a lack of vocabulary, problems with an even rudimentary use of the English language, and the inability to get a point across succinctly and you have a long long season smashing the mute button. 

I don't understand the hate of Diffey or Will. Yea, I like Weege and James and JT better, but they're pretty neutral to me. 

I don’t care about the announcing or commentary, as long as they show all the transfer spots crossing the line in the heats and LCQ’s. Drives me nuts when there is a tight battle for a transfer and they stay on the leader idling off the side of the track, pulling a couple tear offs, taking his goggles off, etc. on his way to talk with Will, when there is still important action happening. Show the leader doing his whip, then get back to the racing that’s still happening. 

To me Diffey is bearable but Screech is horrible , she gets the mute instantly 

Bondo off and running with the loud music drowning out the voices of JB and AC, so much so it's hard to hear those two talk.  I know it's early and some will say they are working out the bugs but let's get real, Bondo's team has been doing this for years and still get it wrong.

Yeah, it was a rough start, but don’t they use a different crew for RDL than the night show?

I remember them saying the camera operators were different but even if Bondo isn't in the production trailer during RDL I would bet his trained operators are. So, the old saying the apple doesn't fall far from the tree applies in my book.

This is the most frustrating part about the “coverage” of RDL. It’s like they want to talk about (and show) everything EXCEPT for the actual qualifying. They were watching Plessinger roll around while Jett went P1.

RDL finally got it right on their 2nd 450 qualifier. It appears to have carried over to the night show. That was one of the better shows I’ve seen. Camera mostly stayed on the action. When they showed the checkers they went right back to the battle for the final spot. There were a couple cringe moments but all in all a solid night. 

Credit where it's due, aside from Ricky, I thought the coverage was really good tonight. They showed us the racing, and had concise replays that showed us the important things we missed live without spending too much time away from the live action that was still ongoing. Get rid of Ricky and keep up the good work!

Picture in Picture too at times not just a split screen. 

Agree much better tonight all the way around. Except RC still rambles on way too much. Other than that the production crew added to the racing unlike in the past taking away from the racing.
