The Aussie SX series kicks off in Redcliffe this weekend with rounds 1 and 2. I’m heading down on Saturday for the 1st round. It’s great to see the series growing, I think that MX in Aus is a lot better with a strong SX series.

I’m not particularly stoked on the layout, I think too many 90 degrees turns but still awesome to see it back in QLD.
I don’t think they have a full riders list up but from what I’ve seen on socials it looks like;
SX1
Dean Wilson
Joey Savatgy
Aaron Tanti
Luke Clout
Jed Beaton
Matt Moss
Dylan Wills
Nathan Crawford
Joel Evans
SX2
Shane McElrath
Cole Thompson
Brodie Connolly
Noah Ferguson
Alex Larwood
Reid Taylor
Kaleb Barham
Jayce Cosford
Ryder Kingsford
Byron Dennis
Kayden Minear
I assume there will be a bunch of privateers as well. Not sure who I have missed.
I believe Redcliffe sold out, so that’s a good start to hopefully building the series back up.
Will the races be streamed live? How can I watch?
Does Webster do Supercross?
MavTV for international audience. Or just and avoid spoilers until someone upload on dailymotion, vk, gofile....
The Shop
Jett and Hunter are racing the last round in Melbourne Nov 30th
Tate Reed doing all rounds... in the 85cc class! Thats cool
Just based off hearing people's experience with MavTV in 2022 outdoors, I don't want to deal with it. I will be joining a discord stream to watch it or find some youtube stream that I can share with my dad since we have been watching the Reed's channel for the past 2 ish years.
cool i have MavTV on IPTV line
I have MAVTV through DirectTV Stream and couldn't find it. Do you need to subscribe to the Mav app to watch it?
So who is gonna take the title? Deano or Joey?
1:30 a.m. Saturday and 8:00 a.m. Sunday pacific...channel 214 directv/ mavtv
SX2 Qualifying
SX1 Qualifying
Deano and Joey will be going at it!!
My boys are down there with family up in the VIP behind start gates, loving it they are, mixing it up with Ellie, Kiah and Pace, plus athletes from BMX, Rugby League....... asshole kids hahaha
Dean waxed the field.
How did tate do? Did he qualify well and finish the race in a decent position?
I think he qualified fastest, but tangled with another rider in heat and broke collarbone
Dang it, that really sucks. He put in a lot of work leading up to this event this year, was looking forward to see how much he progressed. I hope it doesn’t become a theme that when the Reeds visit australia that they get hurt. I hope the rest of them stay safe and I hope Tate heals up. 😭😭
Dean Wilson👍
Pit Row
Kids had such a blast, shame I wasn't there but lucky they got cool grandparents who are moto fans!!!!
No Webster is sitting out of SX this season to get his right hand fixed. It was still bothering him at MXON.
running r2 at the same time as the bathurst 1000 is an interesting call,
There's a fair distance between Redcliff and Bathurst, so sweet FA in cross over / spectator loss, you Dastardly Kiwi!
With my being off my bike, I might actually watch a couple of minutes of the Cages. Usually, I'm off riding when Bathurst, and the MotoGP at P.I are on (stopped going to the GP a few years back - I'm an avowed Couch Potato with it, after going so many times) , getting back home just in time to see the last few laps of the MotoGP class. The cages, I usually learn the results by fluke, through some sort of 'News' short.
I had friends that went to Mitchell College by the Bathurst track in the 70s and 80s, then, years later, did part of my Dip. Ed and further qualifications there, and then did some Teaching at Mitchell. It's long been called The Charles Sturt University, but, I always think of it as The Mitchell.
I've done hundreds, perhaps a K or two of laps around The Mountain Circuit over many decades now. It's good, well, fantastic, and you Need to be careful / paying attention, but I always laugh when people compare it to the IOM - there is No comparison.
Each time I visit Bathurst I do a lap or two, and always stop and pay respect to the Great Ron Toombs, at the spot where he lost his life .
I’d say a fair amount of casual Motorsport fans will be glued to the tv today , that could have been going to sx ,
Have been to the 1000 and it was awesome , a drive around the track shows how steep it is in places , which the tv doesn’t show well
Any update on Tate?
I hope no one else got hurt and i hope no one else gets hurt. If someone does, I hope they have a quick recovery.
Just put the TV on in the Workshop, and put The Cages on.
Oh No, Influenced by a Horrible Bloody Kiwi - the shame of such a thing! 🙄
Saw a pit stop, with them dealing with a loose radio, or something. Yup, something flapping about in the cockpit would be bloody distracting.
Might leave it on in the background, but, I tend to turn off the TV when I use the TIG - striking an arc with HF on, when the torch is pointed near the TV, tends to Kill the TV.
Something I just noticed is that they seem to have the racing vision kept On in a side box while an Ad comes on. Interesting development, that may have been going on in major OZ car racing coverage for a while, with me not knowing. I really don't follow the V8 Supercars - if that's what they are still called(?).
Though, I have been involved in making Tube chassis for Sports Sedans for a few years now. I find the actual making of 4 wheel stuff much more interesting than the racing - it's good to get involved in it now in my 'dimming years' : 2 wheel chassis, Bicycle or MC, has been my bailiwick for over 5 decades now, so something different is an interesting change.
yeah, i watched the start and just have it on in the background as well, its been pretty boring so far, no real lead changes and no safety cars,
What happened to tate? Assuming you are referring to chads boy.
he crashed in the heat race last night, and broke his collarbone, and maybe ribs, he had top qualified,
See Cole Thompson has not changed , pretty much took out mcelrath and his other team mate In moto 1
