Yes, remarkably President Trump barely escaped this assassination attempt within a millimeter of his life. But what seems to be getting passed over is an American citizen did lose his life. A wife lost her husband, and their children lost a father. With two others almost meeting the same fate.
This SS director isn't stupid, presumably didn't get where she's at by being witless. And with her non-response answers yesterday, her resigning today, has all the appearance of her falling on her sword. The main question, who the real architect of this assassination attempt is. There are just too many things that don't add up, how easily it played out for the shooter, how next to nothing has been released to the public. Credible threats by the Iranians and other adversaries. Unfortunately, I feel this won't be the last attempt on Trumps life.

On paper the Woman has a decent resume.
Was in the SS for about 2 decades.
Had left to do private security for pepsico.
Had a big advocate in jill biden, and then starts to look more like a DEI hire to get her back to the SS as director.
Definitely dropped the ball on training and/or protocols for a 20 year old loner to get within 130 yards of a presidential candidate, after flying a drone over the property earlier that day, and be pointed out by multiple people well ahead of the shooting.
After first glance at what happened she should have done the honorable thing and quit a couple days after.

To me it makes it worse that she was that experienced.
No confusion - those resume's/qualifications pale in comparison to that of a DEI hire.
If history is any indication with this clown show administration.... competence/qualification is not required for critical positions.
I see people in my field who have put in decades but are utterly incompetent.
When I interview people for positions within our company, deficiencies QUICKLY appear despite the glowing resume.
She's Jill Biden's friend. Interestingly the official response from the White House (supposed to be president), thanked her for her service from (you guessed it) Joe AND Jill Biden. WTF is she doing on official business White House response? Did we vote for her? Is she a employee? Is she a paid consultant? Is she a cabinet member? WTF is she in the context of our government?

Yep, I had a smirk on my face when I typed it… wasn’t sure if it showed.
IMO this whole thing was a result of SS gradually slacking off over time with bigger gaps in their procedures developing. Complacency, lower personel standards, relaxation of awareness, whatever. I suspect there have been opportunities for this to happen at a lot of events. This one happened to be the one that a wingnut actually tried to do something bad at.
