just curious 2 questions, why do you feel you need this work done? and what do you mean by bulletproof? more durable? able to handle more power?

If I have my motor apart, then I would think bullet proof ing the transmission would b just another steperson in having a greattach bike. Thanks

I have lots of hard laps on built 2 stroke motors. Only transmission problem I ever personally encountered was on a late model YZ250. I rounded the dogs off of a gear when the bike was stock with under 5 hours on it, send the motor to Pro Action and they did a full build on the motor, but replaced the gears with stock parts. Over 40 hours on that transmission now that no problems whatsoever. Guess it was flawed parts from the factory. That said, modern 2 strokes can take a good bit of abuse in the tranny, usually the clutch needs addressed if anything...

Theyre already bulletproof. Best thing you can do is have everything polished in a tumbler to reduce friction. That will extend the life of your dogs. Thats not really required though.

Joes ATV performance and fabrication. He is a transmission specialist and does custom transmissions. Look him up on facebook.

You want improved shifting you get the transmission ISF polished and cut. If you are looking for durability CRYO treating is common..

then after you have them cryod and rem finished, send them out to be coated with tungsten disulphide, and the trans will almost shift itself.
