tc/sx 250 power valve rod removal?

Edited Date/Time 3/8/2019 10:10am
hi guys I have my clutch case off and I need to remove the rod for the power valve. it looks like you pry it off. I've had a good amount of force on it but it wont pop off and I'm afraid i'll start bending things if I put too much force into it. the manual doesn't give any procedure for it. Anyone had theirs off?

just below the ball is a retainer clip. Carefully pull that that back with a pick and it will slide around.

Glad to help. Too late now, but probably could have just pulled the clutch hub to get to it. Just glad you are pro acting though!

Stick a rag in the cases around the rod in case you drop the clip on assembly.

Can you get that off by pulling only the outter clutch cover?

Probably too late to answer... but you have access just by pulling the clutch basket/outer cover. Too late now to turn back, just be glad you did it. It's all I did when I did mine.

Fack. A 2 hour project turned into a 2 afternoon project. Oh well. Lesson learned and experienced gained. Thanks again. Cheers.

It's ok, better than starting a thread about broken cases and dealing with that time loss.
