show 47mm forks

i am doing a fork rebuild on my rm 125s forks
i pulled one apart to find some rust where the bushings are and right above the dust seal

what should i do
just sand it down

The discoloration is not rust. And don't use scotchbrite on a fork tube

Make sure the inner cartidge seals are still good in those forks. In my experience those 47mm showas go through seals.
