Would a rm250 carb work on a rm125? The 250s use kehin and the 125s use mikunis but they look very similar to each other, I'm not sure on specs though.

It would work, but not that well. And I bet it would be a lot of work to make it work well!
I ran a pwk Kehin non power jet carb and it needed a really rich slide.
Save your self a lot of time and money and get the stock carb setup or replaced

What do you want the 250 carb for?
In the past I bored the 125 carb for more top end and less bottom end on a massively ported cylinder for a VERY GOOD rider. Very different jetting you had to figure out too.
www.MotoHose.com post knee replacement Moto Hose is again open and shipping orders.
Thank you all for your patience during my recovery.
The stock carb on the 04+ works extremely well. I haven't got the time to test and adjust jetting these days, so used the JD jetting kit and it was perfect straight away in the UK using 99 octane pump fuel (32:1 Castrol A747) at sea level.
yes it will, but it doesnt run a powerjet like the 06rm125 does.
It should work OK, but you might have to work to dial it in.
I forgot about the powerjet. I think it was 2005 that they came with that. Here's a picture of one of my RMs which shows it (black plastic sensor is the TPS I believe):
So what's everyone's opinion, should i buy the 04 carb or go the lectron route? The thought of no jets has me wanting to go with the lectron but the stock carb price has me thinking it's the better option.
