my bike wont start

I own a 2005 Suski rmz 450, I love the bike so much. but just the other day I got it back from the shop( they put a new cam chain on it they said your ready to ride it in the desert so I'm like ok sweet. I turn it on putting some gas in it and after not even 5 min of it running it just turns off and I haven't been able to kick it back on when I do kick it though while smoke comes out of the exhaust. it's not a lot though it's like really thick white smoke. when I have some time I plan on checking if there is a spark and if there is I then plan on checking if the carburetor is clogged or something. if you have anything I should check and see if it's ok let me know, I will also let you know what I have found in those tests. thank you and please help me.
