just wonder if anyone has tried the harder 19 seat and the new wheel spacer and see if they feel any difference or if you have to change the whole lug to feel the difference ?

There was changes to the fork lugs to increase the stiffness. I think just changing the spacers wont achieve what your thinking it will.

Like the post above says, the big change is the "stiffer" fork lugs. So making a 18 YZF to a 19 is not the cheapest thing to do. You could try the 19 spacers but i doubt that you will feel a big difference.

However, i ordered a firmer Guts seat foam for my 18. That is a must for everyone with a 18 YZF 450 since the stock foam becomes soft as a couch from the 80s.

What durometer of seat foam did you get?Medium or stiff?
Also the 19 has a fork valving change so that is what I hear is the biggest advantage.

Honestly I'd recommend riding a 19 before spending money to make your 18 act like one.

I rode my 18 back to back with a 19 last weekend. The only difference I could feel was the seat foam and the changes to the starter, it definitely starts easier. This was on hard pack though. My only complaint about the 18 is that the front end wanders a bit in deeper conditions with lots of traction, I suspect it's mostly the front tire that is the cause.

I will agree with the previous statement. The 19 250F has a stiffer seat then the 18.
