I have a 2012 CRF250R that i have had all the suspension set up for me (gold valve, spring rate, etc) that is also in really good shape and has the DLC coating done. I just came across the opportunity to buy a friends super low hour, babied 2011 CRF450R for a great price. My question (as dumb is it sounds) is will my suspension bolt right into the 450? what about triple clamps? I have the Ride Eng clamps on the 250 that i would want to probably swap over as well. I wasn't sure if the weight difference of the 450 would throw my settings way off and have to start from scratch.....

Any help appreciated.

The clamps & forks will. Not sure on the shock since 250f's came with showas & the 450f's came with KYB's. I'd suggest measuring the dimensions of both shocks to determine if the swap would work. Another thing to keep in mind is the weight of both bikes as you mentioned. The suspension might feel good on the 250f, but not as good on the 450f due to the weight difference of both bikes. The valving on the 12 showas suspension more than likely would need to be on the firmer side to compensate for the weight of the 450.

Forgot to mention the frt. brake caliper might also need to be swapped. Check the dimensions on those as well.
