I'm looking whats available for my CR480...sand track and only straight line performance really matters. Michelin S12 140/18-18 ? Sandcross 120-100-18 ?? other???
A $250 holeshot award is coming up and there'll be a line of old school 2 stroke big dogs..and one or two tt500s,,,,what would you mounton yours?

I’ve run the pirelli scorpion and that thing is unreal in sand in a straight line. Unless you just go paddle tire of course

Not sure of the 18” availability though

As far as I've seen the widest sand tyre you can get from any of the big tyre manufacturers is 110 wide which doesn't really effect straight line go more than it does in the corners, but tyre pressures do have a big part to play with sand tyres, I've run the pirelli scorpion and the dunlop equivalent. Pirelli's work a lot better at lower than usual tyre pressures, if you run them too high the tyre doesn't flex and the knobs/paddles just fold over on themselves whereas the dunlop have stronger paddle type knob thats wider and holds it shape better with normal pressures.

Skat Trak make some cool stuff. I haven't tested one against a normal sand tyre but i want to.
