Can anyone tell me, if they've had any experience, with which exhaust system is best for these bikes? I've read the stock system is the best way to go. We've not tried any, and don't wanna take the plunge, until we get some feedback. Thanks in advance.

My brothers 04 yz85 had the stock expansion chamber and a fmf shorty silencer. That thing would wheelie my fat ass in 4th gear when the power hit. Was more impressive than the kx125 i had.

We tried over 8 different pipes when racing YZ's. Best overall power were - Doma, DEP & HGS hands down offered the best overall power spread. The Euro pipes have a completely different structure than ones made in the US for some reason...................

Thanks for the info to both of you. I was thinking DEP, because I've heard great things about them. A buddy of mine put FMF on his boys and said it wasn't a big difference. I was also leaning towards a Bill's pipe, I've heard there very good also. But you've tried 8 of them, we might go DEP, like I said just want the best bang for the buck. Thanks

DEP worked great that's what we ran on both our 85cc race and 105. We tried-

Pro circuit
FMF fatty plated & Factory Fatty (yes they ran different)
Bill's
YZ hard parts (I think was a Bills)
HGS
DEP
Stock
We didn't actually run the Doma as they were not being brought in for awhile but a friend did and loved them. very similar to the HGS, DEP. If I was to buy an US made it would be Bill's.........

Thanks, those are the 2 I'm leaning towards, Bills and DEP, from my understanding, the rest aren't much different than stock, other than Doma and HGS, haven't heard much about them. Other than what you told me. Thanks again

Well just wanted to post, that we went with the BILLS exhaust. my boy says it makes the bike pull stronger, off the bottom, and pulls strong right on up through, with good top end over rev. Says he don’t have to clutch as much, coming out of corners. It doesn’t hit as hard as the stock pipe, in the mid range, and still is strong on top like the stocker. I’m very happy with my choice, and wanted to post my findings. Thanks for all your comments, and reviews.
