Your phones OS may alert you to the fact that the WiFi connection that your phone just connected to does not have internet and that is fine. You’re not going to have Internet from the WiFi box on your Yamaha. As long as your phone was able to connect then when you start the Yamaha app it will find your bike and work. There are some videos on YouTube that should help you iwith getting started.

Having trouble connecting to 2020 YZ450F. Was working fine, then I ran the bike out of gas and now it will not show up on my I phones WiFi to connect to the bike.
Any suggestions?

Go to your settings and see if it shows up there.

Thanks guys. I should have included more info in my original post:

The WiFi does not show up at all in my avl WiFi connections. I go to settings on my I phone, and go to WiFi and the tuner does not pop up. It use to before I ran out of gas.

I also unhooked the battery and re hooked up, and unhooked the WiFi bloc on the bike and re hooked up. Still nothing.

Dug out my old I phone from the junk drawer and and same thing. Nothing pops up in WiFi phone settings.

I’ve tried both just hitting the start button and With the bike running.

Update:

So I found a broken wire going to the WiFi box. Replaced the short pigtail wire that the box plugs into and now its working.

Just discovered this exact same problem, even same wire. Per TP the box is supposed to be routed outside of subframe, some dealers do it wrong. Any chance you have pics or how you fixed the wire? I’m afraid to break the clip (even more) trying to get the wires out.
