Yz250FX metal shavings on drain bolt

Did an oil change last night and noticed quite a bit more metal material on my drain bolt. Normally I have a little sludge on it but yesterday it had a fair amount of shavings. Pulled the clutch tonight. Not sure if it’s my imagination but the bike is sounding a little different the last few rides. Oil screen and filter look good.

I'm very interested in what you found to be the problem. I've been getting metal in my oil filter. Added a magnetic oil plug and got metal sludge like yours. Now I'm getting the same sound you are getting. 2015 YZ250FX with 110 hrs.

Cushion spring on the clutch was wearing material off the plates. Removed the spring.
